Larger images are scaled down proportionally.

PNG files are lossless and often very large, especially screenshots and photos saved as PNG. Converting them to JPG can make them 5–10× smaller, perfect for sharing and uploading.

Transparent areas are automatically filled with white, since the JPG format does not support transparency.

Frequently asked questions

Why convert PNG to JPG?

JPG files are much smaller for photos and complex images, so they load faster and are accepted by almost every website and app.

What happens to transparent backgrounds?

JPG does not support transparency, so transparent pixels become white. Use WebP if you need to keep transparency with a small file size.

Will I lose quality converting PNG to JPG?

At quality 85+ the difference is practically invisible for photos. Sharp text or line art may look slightly softer.

Can I convert multiple PNG files at once?

Yes, select up to your daily limit and download all as a ZIP.
